This is so level-headed by Khloé Kardashian!

As Lamar Odom continues to recover following his ordeal with a drug overdose and serious health issues, Khloé is speaking out about the situation in an interview with PEOPLE Magazine.

There are some interesting quotes in the interview, namely Khlo confirming exactly what we all probably figured about her first hearing of Lamar’s deadly situation:

“All I knew was I had to get there. I had to get to him and make sure he was okay. I hate that he was in that situation. I wouldn’t want anybody in that situation, especially someone I love and care about.”

And as we reported earlier, the two will not be getting back together, even though the 31-year-old reality star and the 35-year-old former pro basketball player did call off their divorce during this ordeal.

Khlo explains:

“There are too many other important things, too many medical things. It’s not even in our brains thinking about us as a couple or having a relationship right now. I loved him always, and I will always love him. I don’t believe love is fickle. I believe when you love someone, you are allowed to love from afar. You don’t have to be with that person in order to love him.”

So responsible and mature — but still, so sad considering all that they both have been through with Lamar’s drug overdose.

Here’s hoping everyone involved has the support they need from friends, family, and professionals during a very uncertain time.
