Oof. Pamela Anderson got candid with Megyn Kelly on Thursday about her own experience with sexual abuse as a child — and how she completely avoided it in Hollywood.
Unfortunately what started as a personal story quickly bordered on victim-blaming as the Baywatch star made it clear she knew better than to be alone with Harvey Weinstein — and heavily implied all these other women did too!

She said of being a victim when she was young:
“You somehow think that you were to blame. But I learned to never put myself in those positions again. And when I came to Hollywood, of course I would have had a lot of offers to do private auditions, things that made absolutely no sense, just common sense. Don’t go into a hotel room alone. If someone answers the door in a bathrobe, you know, leave. These things are common sense.”
She goes on to say “Hollywood is seductive” but that she didn’t want to go about getting famous that way.
Um… Sorry, but is she implying some of these women who were assaulted did? She certainly seems to say they should have known better as she says she was able to not get into dangerous situations with Harvey or others:
“I think it was common knowledge, that certain producers and certain people in Hollywood are people to avoid, privately. You know what you’re getting into if you go to a hotel room alone.”
“You know what you’re getting into”?
