Not EVERYONE hates 2016!
Despite several truly awful things happening throughout the course of the year, TV producer Greg Berlanti apparently had an AH-Mazing 2016!

The writer and producer for Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, and more recently took to Instagram to not only GUSH about how great this year has been, but revealed he recently got engaged to boyfriend Robbie Rogers!
Berlanti shared an adorable pic with his LA Galaxy partner (above) and wrote:
“2016 was memorable for many reasons, for me it as the year my heart doubled in size. First, when my son Caleb was born. And second, a few days ago, when I got engaged to my soulmate ❤️ though I dreamed of both those things happening, i’m not sure I truly believed they were possible. Thanks to the friends and family who helped me find my way to this moment in my blessed life. a happy and healthy 2017 to all.”

Even more adorably, the 29-year-old soccer player posted the same pic on his IG account and captioned it, saying:
“Thank you to everyone before us that made this moment possible… I feel extremely lucky and blessed to end 2016 engaged to the love of my life. ❤ Happy New Year!”
As Greg noted, the engagement news is only the cherry on top of a WONDERFUL year as the couple, who’ve dated since 2013, welcomed their son Claeb Berlanti via a surrogate back in February!
Though we don’t know any more details about the special moment, based on the picture, it looks like it may have gone down in front of a string quartet! TEARS!
We’re beyond thrilled for the happy couple and wish them the best in the new year!
