Cirque Du Soleil Is Suing Justin Timberlake For Ripping Off Their Music — Yes, MUSIC!

Did anyone know Cirque du Soleil even made music?! Well, Justin Timberlake sure does!

On Thursday, the popular circus sued the soulful singer for copyright infringement, claiming a track off the artist’s 20/20 album sampled one of their songs without permission!

We’re a little confused as to why this complaint is just getting filed now, since that album dropped back in 2013, but we digress.

The Canadian company took their grievance to New York federal court, saying in the legal papers that JT’s number Don’t Hold the Wall sampled their tune Steel Dream, from their 1997 album QUIDAM.

Yes, album! Cirque du Soleil’s actually released a BUNCH of records over the years, believe it or not!

But anyway, the entertainment corporation is suing the famous father, his producer Timbaland, and Sony Music Entertainment for $800,000 worth in damages!

Ch-ch-check out the two songs (below) and let us know in the comments if U think the circus is just trying to make a quick buck, or if this is a classic case of copyright!
