Update: Amanda’s parents’ conservatorship is still in place. In addition, the judge ruled that the lawyer who was present to rep Amanda could not have been hired by her because she didn’t have the capacity to enter a binding contract.

This can’t be a good start for this lady!
It looked like Amanda Bynes was going to be late to her court hearing where she hoped to end her parents’ conservatorship, and it seems like that is exactly what has happened!
Her lawyer reportedly showed up to the courthouse in Ventura County, California, and zipped right into the courtroom where the lawyer in question hopes to convince the judge that Amanda is sound enough to live on her own without the interference of her parents!
But we’re not sure that’s going to happen — especially since Amanda has reportedly not even showed up yet!
And we’re not sure, if she ever does get to the courthouse, that she’ll have a good enough excuse as to why she is so late!

Meanwhile Amanda’s parents DID show up to the courthouse on time on Friday, but no one is expecting them to say much – if anything.
This was strictly Amanda’s chance to prove she is capable of handling her own business, but her chances of doing that now seem slim to none.
