The weekend numbers are in, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the BIG winner!
His new film San Andreas did a cool $53 million domestic take at the box office, which made his adventure flick the biggest winner of the weekend!
Among other notables, Johnson’s movie defeated one Bradley Cooper and his new flick Aloha, also starring Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, and many others.
Aloha took in just $10 million, a disappointing haul for a film packed with so many stars and directed by Cameron Crowe.

Pitch Perfect 2, Tomorrowland, and Mad Max: Fury Road also clocked in — all above Aloha but well below San Andreas — though the story of the weekend was The Rock and his earthquake.
On a summer weekend with great weather in most parts of the country, it turns out The Rock can still pull ‘em in at the theaters!
