Brody Jenner Apologizes For His 'Careless & Misguided' Posts Claiming Police Shootings Have 'Nothing To Do With Race!'

At least Brody Jenner knows he royally f*cked up.

Over the weekend, Caitlyn Jenner‘s son was rightfully dragged on social media, after posting a few totally ignorant messages on Instagram about race and police shootings.

In the since-deleted posts, the reality star exclaimed that the many shootings in which officers kill unarmed black men have “nothing to do with race,” and even included the “all lives matter” hashtag.

Ugh.

But, after getting his insensitive ass handed to him online, the 33-year-old has since seen the error of his ways.

On Friday, the husband-to-be took to IG to share a photo of himself silhouetted in the sunset while making peace symbols with his hands.

In the caption, he took back his controversial comments, declaring that he didn’t fully understand the severity of the situation before he shared those awful captions:

“After taking some time to reflect and learn a lot over the last few days, I want to address my careless and misguided posts last weekend. Having done more research into the Black Lives Matter movement, including reading a very informative editorial by @lmanisviney, I realize that my comments weren’t thoughtful or substantiated. I spoke out of turn on a subject I wasn’t particularly educated on.”

Well, at least The Hills alum is admitting he was wrong. He continued:

“It was never my intention to exacerbate an already contentious situation in our country. I am a firm supporter of the African American community and I am grateful that my mistake allowed me the opportunity to increase my own awareness of Black Lives Matter, and hope that going forward we can continue this conversation in a positive and peaceful way.”
